If any of you are heading to Khao Kho anytime soon, here's our day itinerary to hopefully inspire yours 💛 We drove down for 5-6hrs from Bangkok to get to

Khao Kho! 🚖

1. Watch the sunrise (& sea of clouds) 🌤️

We woke up at 4am to head up to Khao Takian Ngo Viewpoint where you can get 360 degree view point for both sunrise and sunset at Khao Kho.

If the weather is good, you'll also get to see a sea of clouds! ☁️

2. Breakfast with a View 🏔️

After watching the sunrise, we went to the market nearby to get breakfast! We settled with a comforting bowl of porridge and some eggs. I absolutely loved how every local restaurant in the area exuded a warm and homey vibe here. Not to mention, the views are stunning and the weather was great at 15-18 degrees.

3. Visit Wat Prathat Phasornkaew 🛕

This is such a beautiful temple in Phetchabun Province with one of the most photogenic and beautiful temples in Thailand. Wat Pha Sorn Kaew (วัดพระธาตุผาซ่อนแก้ว) translates to the temple on the glass cliff. The modern style is reminiscent in some ways of the architect Gaudi, especially in the use of mosaics. Even if you're not religious, I highly recommend you to head down and visit this temple!

4. Cafe-hopping around our accoms ☕️

As we checked in pretty late on the first day, we decided to casually explore the area and happened to chance upon a few hidden cafes with rustic vibes. Honestly, most of them have only 1-3 google reviews so you really got to test your luck. Thankfully, we found a hiddem gem! We enjoyed the ice cream and lychee + strawberry smoothies at this cafe (look out for their orange signboard outside!).
