Texas State parks you haven’t heard about

Like I’ve said before I’ve spent a ton of time visiting a lot of the State Parks in Texas, I know everyone knows all the famous ones but you’d be surprise by the beauty you can find at some of these less known ones. Texas parks is where my love for hiking started 🩷

Palmetto State Park

This one is right along the San Marcos River. This is a great spot for fishing, hiking, and my favorite…canoeing!

Buescher State Park

We spent our days here hiking up to a scenic spots along trails to have a picnic with a view. This one is more of a piney wood feel.

100 Park Road 1E, Smithville, TX 78957

Devils River State Natural Area

This one is a bit more on the extreme side of camping, a little rougher but totally worth it for its clear waters. I spent a couple days here camping and it was amazing! You’ll find spots for kayaking, fishing, and backcountry camping here.
