A day in the life as a business owner

Hey girls! Today I’d like to share a glimpse of my daily work routine as a business owner.

I’m the founder & creative director of jewellery brand, ANTING by Camilla. I create minimal style everyday jewellery for women from all walks of life.

Here’s how a typical work day goes for me:

9.00 AM - I head over to my studio. First things first, I open the windows & blinds so that fresh air & natural light is at the maximum. It keeps me motivated too!

9.30AM - Time to reply emails & enquiries that come in. Customer service is extremely important to me so I make sure to assist as best as I can.

10.00 AM- Once emails are done, I pack orders. Packing orders is so much fun to me because I get to see the jewellery that my customers pick from themselves & their loved ones. I also enjoy writing custom note messages per their requests.

My favourite part of the process is peeling the adhesive off the plastic mailer and sealing it shut. Ooofff the satisfaction!!

12.00PM - After all that has been completed, it’s time for my lunch break! Today I had an american breakfast & it was really good.

Insider sharing: Something that I’ve been experiencing as a business owner (and I don’t think it’s been talked about openly enough by other fellow entrepreneurs) is that while running your own business can be extremely exciting but also, at times it feels isolating. Us business owners may have supportive loved ones, but it’s still common to feel alone when it comes to many aspects of our daily grind growing our business. One way I’ve learned to overcome this feeling is by being more social with other fellow entrepreneurs!
