Hi everyone! I’m actually pretty excited to turn 30 because it means more control in my life for me. Here’s a checklist that I’m following to prepare my wardrobe for turning 30 🥰

1️⃣ Don’t buy if the design is too crazy

As I've grown older, I've come to appreciate simpler styles with puff sleeves, lace, and odd prints. I tend to get sick of these designs easily and donate them away because I don’t reach out to them on a daily basis.

2️⃣ Aesthetic but uncomfortable clothes

When I was younger, I used to buy clothes solely based on looks, even if they were uncomfortable and required constant attention to my appearance (like fidgeting to make it proper). Tight-fitting and crop tops became a hassle rather than a joy to wear. But of course, if you like it - you do you 🤍 This is just my preference upon getting older!

3️⃣ Difficult to wash and take care of

I avoid purchasing clothes that are high maintenance and difficult to care for. The ones demanding hand washing, dry cleaning, and frequent ironing end up feeling like too much trouble, making me less inclined to reach them.

4️⃣ Not indulging so much on “off-season sales”

Off-season sales may seem tempting, but it's essential to question whether buying now just to save for later truly aligns with your needs or if it's driven by a fear of missing out on a deal.

5️⃣ Not buying into "trends"

Instead of following fleeting trends, I focus on quality, comfort, and pieces that suit my personality and age after hitting 30. It’ll also make my clothes more lasting too! (IMO)

What are some ways that you’re preparing for your 30s! I’d love to know 🤍
