getting matcha from a hole in the wall?? 🍵💚

i’ve been seeing lots of people talk about this little hole in the wall coffee joint located in joo chiat!! i was over at katong yesterday so my friend & i decided to stop by and check it out ~~

of course i had to get the iced matcha! this was super yummy omg like it had a super clean taste, not gritty or grainy at all. the matcha taste was prominent but not grassy either! a really yummy cup of matcha ~~

i asked them to make it a bit sweeter after & it definitely helped to make the matcha taste pop even more! i really enjoyed my drink 💖

my friend tried their iced mocha and we both felt it tasted a little diluted! like hmm the chocolate flavour could’ve been more intense or a little thicker. the coffee taste was nice though! it wasn’t too strong that it overpowered the light chocolate flavour

🏡 𝑨𝑴𝑩𝑰𝑬𝑵𝑪𝑬

we went closer to evening time so it was super cool out! it was so nice to sit at the little sage green wooden tables & chairs just round the corner from the store. there’s even a fan just above the seats so even though it’s open air it’s not hot!!

the seats are right next to the road, across from those famous shop houses that people love to take photos at. it’s such a great location to sit & people watch!! we ended up sitting there and chatting for like 2 hours 😅

💭 𝑭𝑰𝑵𝑨𝑳 𝑻𝑯𝑶𝑼𝑮𝑯𝑻𝑺

i really enjoyed my iced matcha 🥹🍵 and i really super loved sitting and just chatting, watching the people (and so many dogs!!) go by … it was honestly just such a lovely time 💖

the downside is this place is SO inaccessible omggg like seriously there is not a single mrt station that is even remotely nearby…. unless you live in the area or are driving (not sure where you’d park though…) it will be a PAIN to come here 💔 and going home omfg i walked to eunos mrt station because there was no other option….

other than the location, everything else was a dream ~~ love the matcha & the vibes 🥹✨ if you live around here you should defo drop by!!

but ok for me???? i defo won’t be travelling all the way here ever again… it is just too painful 💔💔💔 but i’ll probably check out their kim yam road outlet instead since it’s nearer to me heh xx
