Indie Bookstore Day

I am so looking forward to the 2023 Independent Bookstore Day at the end of the month! Here’s a little recap of how I spent it last year. :)

BOOKSTORE STOPS

1. Dogeared Books, Ames

My favorite place to stop when I’m back in Ames for a day! It’s such a fun environment and the staff is so kind. Grab a coffee from one of the cafes downtown or get one from the book store itself! My favorite to grab downtown is from Cafe Diem.

2. Reading in Public, West Des Moines

Last year, RIP was held as a pop up at Fox Brewing. The owner is such a sweet woman and answered all of our questions. This year, they have their own building in Valley Junction! I CANNOT wait to visit this year.

3. Raccoon River Press, West Des Moines

This was another pop up, held at Pots and Shots. Just another example of the nicest humans working in the book world! They also had the yummiest cookies at their booth. 😋

This year, I’m looking forward to visiting all of the new bookstores and grab something at each location!
