Render vs Reality - Toilets!

Part 2 of our Render vs Reality of our #HomeReno - The Common and Master Toilets!

Being a 30 year old resale unit, we knew the toilets would be quite small. We had to make the most number of compromises here and it was also the rooms where we had to think the hardest on how we wanted it to be.

We knew we wanted a feature wall and terrazzo type tiles as we loved the look. However, trying to do such a strong look in such a small enclosed space would have been too overwhelming, as such our ID suggested that we do feature walls in both toilets instead.

Space constraints also meant that we could pretty much only fit a vanity that was 50cm or less in width and there were basically NO OPTIONS AVAILABLE in Singapore. The only nice ones we found had to be custom made and would have taken 4 months. Taobao really saved us here, as we managed to find this open shelf type vanity in the right width, that would allow us to have the countertop sinks we wanted. The open style also makes it feel like there is more space to move around!

To further jazz up the common toilet, we decided to get the blob shaped mirror (from Hooga) as an added piece of visual interest in the common area.
