Chill and Educational Halloween Event

If you’re still looking for somewhere chill to celebrate Halloween this weekend, check out the Singapore Discovery Centre! We visited the Harrowing Halloween 2 event which is kind of like a Halloween fair with various activities. The event is held in conjunction with Singapore Poly and is the second year they’re holding it!

There is a mix of ticketed and free activities as part of the event but most of the exciting ones are ticketed. We got the D.I.E pass ($50) which includes most of the activities except for the escape room.

🔎 After Dark Tour

The main activity aside is the After Dark Tour which is set up within the permanent gallery! It follows the story of Ah Huat and educated us on Chinese superstitions which we were not aware of. The tour has no jump scares and has little q&a sections throughout.

🔫 Laser Tag

This was the most fun activity for us! The round of laser tag was 10 minutes and the area was really fun to run around and sneak up on people.

👻 Haunted House

Our pass gave us unlimited entry into the haunted house but we only went once due to time constraints. The haunted house is in the theme of an ill fated flight and it was really well done! The scare actors get sneakier the deeper you get and we got quite an adrenaline rush.

✨Interactive Zone

This area was free entry and was like a mini exhibition on various superstitions! The set up inside is great and there are lots of photo opportunities.

Overall we felt that this event was a very friendly and more educationally focused, which is good if you are a big scaredy cat like HY but still want to do something 👻 spooky👻 as only the haunted house had any scares.
