How to properly dermaplane your face 👏👏✨

Let’s talk about how to properly dermaplane, tips from a licensed esthetician (me) 😝

Facial dermaplaning has become extremely popular over the past few years rightfully so!!

It does amazing things are skin care wise, and make up wise.

But how is it done?? What’s the right way to go about it?

As estheticians we use a more professional grade blade to dermaplane but if you’re not licensed you’re gonna wanna pick up some disposable blades from your local beauty supply store. I got mine at Ulta for $14.

Then:

Apply a face oil/serum (it can be done on dry skin but | prefer some slip)

Use the shaver going in an upwards motion, removing all dead skin cells and vellus hair (peach fuzz)

Maneuver it all around the face until it feels smooth and you’re satisfied. Then apply another calming serum or moisturizer.

And done!
