Step-By-Step Nail Tutorial: At Home 🏡

Being able to paint your nails at home is an important skill to have to not only save money, but to be able to do your nails and keep them maintained from anywhere!

I learned how to do this from a young age and never looked back. I went through a season where I enjoyed going to the nail salon UNTIL I had a terrible encounter and got a “greenie” on one of my nails from a tech using unclean tools. Since then, I’ve only ever done my nails at home.

Following these simple steps will help you learn how to do your nails at home the right way, so that your polish comes out looking as good as it would from the nail salon AND it will last you twice as long as it normally would.

To achieve your best nails:

1. Clean and remove old polish with pure acetone.

2. Apply a nail strengthener as your base coat to protect your natural nail from breakage or damage.

3. Apply 2-3 coats of your favorite polish. (More for lighter colors)

4. Apply a “gel” top coat for long lasting polish!

5. Finish with an instant nail dry top coat. (This will make your nails dry to touch— but you will still need to be careful for the next couple of hours until they are fully dry!)
