If you are heading to Uluwatu, here are a few places to add to your list!

☕️Alchemy Coffee

Our first stop in Uluwatu was to alchemy because it was near our place and we desperately needed coffee after a 7am flight

The cafe at alchemy itself is actually vegan - we did not get to try it but the food looked great! There were a lot of people hot-desking at the cafe too (with secondary screens and all), so it might be a place to consider if you need to get some work done.

Unfortunately the cafe was full, so we headed to Arabica (within alchemy) to get our coffee fix. You can chill around the Alchemy compound even if you got your coffee from Arabica (2 cups of iced americano was about $7)

Alchemy also hosts a wide variety of yoga classes! We did not have enough time on this trip but I’ll defo try it when we are back

If you plan properly you could do a class here and head to the cafe next door after as a morning activity. Vibes were really nice

⭐️ 9/10 (-1 in case you are not into vegan food, but otherwise really nice place to do an activity + food + coffee)

🏖️ Bingin Beach

We rode down to Bingin beach to catch the sunset and it was really nice! Please take note that there is quite a climb down and up with some steep/uneven steps so don’t wear heels or super long skirts!

There were people surfing and just chilling by the beach. We headed to one of the handful of cafes by the beach and had dinner while watching the sunset. There are also options to get seafood by the beach but I would not recommend cuz they are quite overpriced…..

Overall the beach was not too crowded and there are sufficient cafes/ restaurants to choose from offering amazing views + food and drinks were decently priced (~$10 cafe mains)

🏖️ Padang Padang beach

Uluwatu has so many beaches we haven’t visited all

Padang Padang beach is another pretty nice beach - great if you like sun tanning because a lot of people were just lying on towels under the sun

It’s also popular with surfers and some people were getting lessons there too!

+ point if you like monkeys because there are a lot on the way down - but do be careful as the monkeys are known to just grab stuff from you!

We had a beer by the beach and it was nice people watching

⛱️ One eighty day club

This is by far the BEST day club I have ever been to! HIGHLY recommended for introverts haha

It was quite a ride in and the place was bit hard to find but nothing too difficult. We were led to a hotel-style reception with chairs and tables before we took a buggy to the main area.

We didn’t make reservations beforehand so we were initially only offered the general admission, but when we arrived at the main area we managed to get the VIP tickets. Let me tell you this is an introvert’s dream because the VIP area is on a separate deck, and you have unblocked views of the cliff. The staff also actively stops GA people from entering the area + welcome drinks + face mist + VIP service idk what else do you need. GA is also pretty decent as the place is not very big (vs Finn’s/ La Brisa) so it doesn’t get overly crowded. Recommended to come early if you want nice GA spots but honestly any spot is fine

In total we spent about ~$100 for 2 pax VIP admission but it was very worth it cuz the full amount can be spent on food and drinks. Standard day club pricing. Imo much more worth than Sunday’s where you have to pay for entrance and you’re just sitting on beanbags in the sun. It can actually get pretty cooling at one eighty because of the wind so it’s also a nice respite from the heat

Watching the sunset with unblocked views by the cliff is a whole experience altogether. Although they are famous for the pool by the cliff we didn’t enter as it was pretty cold.
