museum hopping for your weekend dates ☁️

don’t know what to do for the weekend? I am going to #SpillTheTea on my museum hopping experience 😌 so that you have something to explore!

national gallery singapore — free for Singaporeans/PR/students etc!

1. WU GUANZHONG: travelling with the master

this was an exhibition that was like an appreciation of the artist and displayed artworks that he has done of different places in the world. my favourite is the panda artwork because it looks so cute but also looks so majestic at the same time.

2.EVER PRESENT: first peoples of Australia

this art exhibition was about the history of Australia and also exhibiting the artworks of aboriginal and torres strait islander artists. It depicts the discrimination that they have faced and the art styles. There was a video of the artist singing a song in a native language that have since been extinct! — be sure to go here because it ends this WEEKEND!!!

SAM at Tanjong Pagar Distripark was more ulu and hard to access but it is worth going~ especially since it is FREE too!

I went to Can Everybody See My Screen? and the exhibition was very dim where many of the exhibits were illuminated by lights or displays. And some of the exhibits where intriguing like there was a video on how the artist used electric pulses to see if everyone could synchronise with each other based on the pulses like muscle memory.
