TAICHUNG RECOMMENDATIONS FOR THE NATURE LOVERS 🇹🇼

Heading to Taiwan in 2024? Here are some recommendations for the nature lovers 😍😍

1.Zhongshe flower market taichung

📍Address: No. 333號, Section 5, Sanfeng Rd, Houli District, Taichung City, Taiwan 421

⏰ Opening hours: 8am to 6pm daily

💰 Entrance fee: $120TWD

A lovely spot of flower enthusiasts, with picturesque landscapes for you to take super instaworthy photos!! I’ve been here twice, once in summer and once in winter. I’d highly recommend coming here during the cooler times of the year instead as the area is hardly sheltered/shaded.

Do note that type of flowers available for viewing also changes depending on the season.

2.Gaomei Wetlands

📍Address: Meidi Street, Qingshui District, Taichung City

Lovely place to catch the sunset and have a romantic walk down the boardwalk 😍 I went at around 6.30pm to catch the sunset at 7pm. Do wear slippers/sandals when visiting to walk on the wetlands.

You can also head over to the Wuqi Fishing Habour nearby, that is just a 15mins drive away to enjoy some fresh seafood/sashimi!

3.Lavender Cottage

📍Address: No. 20號, Zhongxing St, Xinshe District, Taichung City, Taiwan 426

⏰ Opening hours: 10.30am to 6.30pm (Monday to Friday), 10am to 6.30pm (Saturday & Sunday)

💰 Entrance fee: $200TWD, inclusive of $100TWD token

Tranquil place that is much less crowded than the other two attractions, however still very pretty and relaxing place to take a walk. I came here during the summer and the lavender flowers were replaced by other purple flowers, but still equally beautiful!

Do note that the road up is rather bendy, making the drive not an easy one. I’d recommend getting a local driver for an easy journey up there!
