✨My mom is my best friend✨

Look at what my mom surprised me with. Two days ago we were talking about how our relationship has evolved into not just mother and daughter but as best friends. I got so emotional and hugged her so tight.🥹

I truly wouldnt be here happy and alive if I had t had her support. I went through such horrible things because of my mental health issues. She was the only one that listened and remained me that I'm not crazy. At that time in the 90's mental health wasn't something that was talked about but she would go go the library and read up on anything and everything about depression and self harm. Mind you she mostly spoke and read in Spanish so she struggled to understand the English books. She did all that for me! So when I say I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for her, I mean it with all my heart and soul.

I placed this plaque on my shelf above my work station where I can see it everyday as I work. Having a wonderful mother is such a blessing. I know I'm lucky because sadly many kids don't have the parents they deserved and to all of you that didn't, please know you're loved and worthy. #embracevulnerability #momisqueen #lovemymomma#bestfriend #emotional
