I have dealt with seasonal depression for years. These are just a few things that help me. Everyone is different and i’m not an expert so do what works for you!

Wake up early:

There is nothing that makes me feel worse than just rotting in my bed. Of course take rest when you need it. However if your routine looks like you going to bed at 2am and then waking up at noon or later, that might be contributing to your depression and or lack of motivation

Get vitamin d:

The sun is setting earlier now so its less opportunity for us to get the sun we need. This tip goes in tandem with the last one, get up, go get that sun! You’ll feel so much better. If you aren’t a morning person or you just want a little extra, vitamin d supplements work well too

Have something to look forward to:

I love that all the holidays are in the cold dark months. Plan a spooky movie night with your friends, go get drinks at a new bar, do anything! Its always nice to have something to look forward to.
