Rockstar GF Aesthetic

With the comeback of the “tumblr” era fashion looks, which are now being coined as the “rockstar girlfriend” or “indy sleeze” aesthetic, I thought I’d share my take on these fashion looks.

Let me start off by saying, before influencers existed, I was actually pretty popular on tumblr, and it was one of the first social media sites where I had grown a following. Although back then, it didn’t really mean anything. Not like it does now.

So taking this outfit back to my tumblr era days, with an edgy twist, I paired leopard print flare pants, with ultra high black platforms, a rosary necklace, and a leather corset-like top. It’s giving dive bar chic, and we love it.

You can recreate this look with any printed pants, but something like leopard, plaid, gingham, or cheetah would be very on brand for this type of aesthetic. You can pair the top with something simple, you can opt for a corset, a lace or mesh top, or even a cropped band t-shirt. For shoes, I would recommend opting for a platform shoe, but you can switch the style to a platform sandal, or boot, or even an ultra chunky heel.
