Do’s & Don’ts in a relationship

Here are some of my do’s & don’ts for a healthy and happy relationship

DO:

• Communicate honestly with each other and make sure each other’s feelings are validated and each partner can express themselves freely.

• Have respect for each other.

• Make an effort to spend quality time with each other.

• Show your love and affection to your partner. This is so important to keep that spark going.

DON’T:

• Compare your current partner to past partners. This is extremely unfair and will only create trust and resentment down the line.

• Lie to your partner. Even white lies. Trust is so important in a relationship and being dishonest will surely create trust issues down the line.

• Gossip about your partner.

I believe that certain topics should be kept private, especially if your partner tells you something in confidence.

• Be a jealous partner. Instead, maintain and continue to build trust to avoid feelings of jealousy.
