This hike is an exciting adventure through Savage Gulf State Park! The 2.5-mile trail, featuring two waterfalls, offers beautiful scenery with the highlight being Greeter Falls, which is not just the biggest waterfall on the trail but also a popular swimming spot. The trail can be challenging, especially for those not accustomed to hiking, due to the abundance of stairs, roots, and rocks that require careful navigation. Wearing high-top boots or shoes is advisable for ankle support, ensuring a safer experience on the rugged terrain.

Despite its difficulties, the hike is family-friendly and well-loved by kids, including my kids ages of 14, 12, and 10, as well as being a hit with our Australian shepherd! Greeter Falls adds a rewarding end to the hike with its refreshing swimming hole, making all the effort worthwhile.
