Broadway News Round-Up (3/11-3/17)

🌎 This past Thursday, a Broadway performance of Enemy of the People was interrupted by climate protesters from the climate justice group Extinction Rebellion. The actors all remained in character during the interaction and videos of the incident can be found on X.

🎢 A German theme park, EuroPark, announced this week it would be opening a Phantom of the Opera VR roller coaster. The road will feature the music from Andrew Lloyd Webber’s classic musical and is expected to officially open this spring!

🩸 Sweeney Todd announced that it will officially be closing after Aaron Tveit, Sutton Foster and Joe Locke end their runs in Sweeney Todd on May 5th.

📓 The Notebook officially opened on Broadway this past weekend at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre. Reviews were mixed with many praising the talented cast but taking issue with the overly sentimental book and forgettable score by Ingrid Michaelson.
