Momcozy S9 Pro
Pros:
• Ordered through insurance
• Great for moving moms
• Amazing for the first few months with establishing supply while caring for baby
• Hands free and no wire which is fantastic
• Affordable
Cons:
• Lot of parts
Overall:
If you had to pick one pump, this is the one I would recommend. You can get better suction elsewhere, but there’s no comparison on price, flexibility, and convenience!
Medela Pump in Style
Pros:
• Ordered through insurance
• Common so you can find parts easily
• Comes with a portable plug in
• Hands free cups are an OPTION and are sold separately
• Compatible with dr. Brown’s bottles
• Affordable
Cons:
• Portable plug requires 6 batteries
• Bulky so it’s hard to move around
• Tough tubing makes it less discrete
Overall:
I would only recommend this pump if you choose the hands free cups option. I bought them separately for about $90. It was worth it but would’ve been better if I had gotten that in the first place. It gives a decent output and there aren’t too many parts to clean in the hands free cups. Unfortunately there is still the tubing and the bulky pump itself so there are better options out there but this is definitely not a bad one!
Spectra S2:
• Bought on clearance
Pros:
• Good output
• Not too many parts need to be cleaned after each use
• Common to find replacement parts
• Compatible with several bottle brands such as Phillips avent, mam, and dr. Browns wide neck bottles
• Nightlight and a timer
• Lightweight tubing
Cons:
• Bulky and hard to transfer around
• Expensive pump and expensive replacement parts
• Not portable so you’re strapped to the wall
Overall:
This is my overall pick for pumping at work. I leave the pump at work so I don’t transport it everyday and I like that I only have to clean a couple parts before I pump again. It gives me good suction and was worth it buying it on clearance. I wouldn’t have paid full price. If you’re able to get it through insurance I would definitely recommend!
