Upscale restaurant offering tasting menus of 7 to 10 courses. This restaurant is located in Portland OR. I met the owner at a local bar who gave me a deeply profound and rich story about the Oaxaca inspired dishes prepared at this what was at the time a pop-up restraunt.

Its original pop-up location had a beautiful outdoor patio which was perfect for the bright and flavorful fresh cuisine. The owner was the one serving me and he gave us a beautifully detailed story about the inspiration of every dish and the ingredients included. Truly breathtaking experience.

The experience was so inspiring a few months later my partner and I were on a plane traveling to Oaxaca to have the food from the source. The trip was amazing. The people and the food were unforgettable. Truly heart warming kindness and authenticity radiated from the generosity of the locals. dispute the language and culture barriers, we were constantly encouraging people expressing kindness.

Fast forward a year laster my partner surprised me by brining me back to the restaurant at their new permanent location for my birthday.

My advices if you would like to try this upscale dinning experience is go during the summer, and do it before traveling to Oaxaca Mexico.
