Some might say that the views looks similar to Jeju but I have to admit that there is a certain charm to this place - their waters is a little more aquamarine than blue?

If we had more time, I would have loved to spend the whole day here!

How to get here

1. You can take a ferry from Seongsan Port or Jongdal Port. We went by Seongsan, there’s a ferry every 30 mins. It cost us 10,000 Won each or around SGD10. You need to fill in a form, good to be there slightly earlier to buy tickets, fill form and walk to the Boat (3-5mins)

2. The ride is very chill, around 15 mins and you can stay indoors or go on the upper deck

If you parked at Seongsan like us, we paid 8,000 Wom for car parking for about 5-6 hours

Getting Around Udo

1. Electric Bike

your best bet at 15,000 Won per four hours. you will need this as Udo is partially hilly.

2. apparently, you can rent the scooter with international license but you need to get it from the inner shops, not the ones near the port

3. Walk

takes five hours apparently, so the shopkeeper says 🤭

What to do at Udo

1. Cycle along the coastal area

enjoy the views! there’s also specific areas to park electric bikes!

2. Check out the different scenic spots - very rush for us and we only saw the white sand beach which was on the left of the island, there’s also Udo-bong (can climb or just see from opposite side like we did cause we were too tired), visit cave etc

they also got cute scenic spots

3. Cafe hop - yes, cafe culture strong here

4. Eat - food is good and must try Udo-peanut products! from shakes to ice creams

Overall, a 10/10 to visit when in Jeju
