Heavenly Maternity Photoshoot

A gift from the heavens … 🕊️🤍

When it came time to start planning for my maternity photoshoot with my rainbow baby 🌈 I really took the time to think about what the theme or aesthetic would be & the photographer I would pick to execute it. But there were 3 things I knew for certain. 🤔

1. I didn’t want to be outdoors 🌲🚫

2. I wanted someone who could offer angel wings as a look 🕊️

&

3. I didn’t want to look at my photos and hate myself looking at them. I wanted to find a photographer who was going to make me look how I felt about this blessing of a pregnancy 🥰

I live in a small desert city where 99.9% of all maternity photos I had seen were taken outdoors, either with the deserty landscape or our near by lake as the setting. And although they are BEAUTIFUL, I knew immediately that that wasn’t what I wanted to do. I wanted to do something different, something that felt more me.. and I was pretty sure I wanted to be in studio. Studio maternity photoshoots also offered a full wardrobe that you could pick from & was included in your session.

After searching around , I couldn’t find a photographer that shot my style or the vibe I was looking for. So I decided to search beyond my area and over the mountain. I ended up finding a studio 2 hours away that offered the winged look I wanted & depending on the photographer you decide on, each offered package has a certain amount of looks you can shoot & with this studio package I picked, I was offered 3. After much thought, I decided to have 1 look be the angel wings, 2cd to involve a big flowy dress and flowers, and the 3rd to be a wet fabric draped look.

The photographer was so amazing & made me feel so comfortable & beautiful during the shoot. She also absolutely nailed what I had envisioned for my photos & made the drive over to her absolutely worth it. 🥹🤍
