Life as an Animal Science Major at FAMU!

Hello everyone! I’m trying to take a different approach on my platform and talk a bit more about my honest experiences going to FAMU to hopefully give more insight to others!

Experiences:

💛: I’m a transfer student coming in as a junior from Miami Florida. The transition into the school was… something else 💀 I have never experienced that headache before.

💛: Once I got everything situated, it was smooth sailing from there. If you’re considering applying, it’ll take you about 1-2 months to be stable with financial aid and your transcript if you’re transferring.

💛: they have a lot of events here and it’s very easy to get involved around campus. I will say there are so many advertisements for parties that I have never and probably will never go to because I’m neck deep into my studies and I experienced most of my wild parties in Miami and Gainesville.

💛: as far as making friends goes… I have met some people in my classes but it is a bit hard (for me at least) to make friends. In my experience I’ve been very… antisocial a bit. I’m not really sure why but I have joined clubs so maybe that helps!

💛: The clubs here are a great way to engage and connect with others if you guys are interested in being friends with anyone. There’s a club for everything and it’s really fun to be apart of!

💛: lastly I LOVVEEEEE Coleman library, especially the quiet floor. I love studying there because I feel like I study better in there. They have a Starbucks on the 2nd floor so you can get a little drink or snack.
