Meet the author

Hello readers of Lemon8! I'm so glad to have found this platform and the surprisingly huge book community over here! 💙 I'm just popping in to share a little more about me and what I write.

I'm Breanna (@btleslie_writes on IG), and I'm a reader of all things, but an author of horror--well, the cozier side of horror. I sort of hate that phrase, but my vibe isn't extreme or slasher. No dogs die in my books, and I dig a "happy" ending. If you like Simone St. James or Darcy Coates, you'd probably enjoy my stuff.

There's a catch, though. I write APPALACHIAN horror. Am I screaming? Yes! Because I cannot be excited enough for Appalachian horror. It's my absolute favorite subgenre, and I'm a native to West Virginia. I like to throw my characters into dense forests, lonely hollers, and even the odd trailer park now and then. And in my latest, STIX, I threw them into the 1930s.
