We will be starting our 2nd Bible Study on Oct 1st mark your calendars (the link is up for those who want to participate through GroupMe, yes I will still be posting on Lemon 8)

21 day Challenge for the 21 chapters in the Book of John

Each day we will study one chapter of the book of John, we will be breaking the chapter down so we will be taking it slow but getting lots of revelations.

What I do when studying is I look up historical and cultural context and I also look up the Hebrew or Greek definitions of a word I’ll use the concordance. (Blue letter Bible app has a good one)

Ex. The words Nazarene, Nazareth, Nazara, and Nazarite all have the same root word the definitions are to be separated, an inhabitant of Nazareth, the guarded one, vine, consecrated or devoted one. So while the OT doesn’t say specifically that he was born in Nazareth, the OT describes the Messiah to come who was consecrated, the devoted one, separated , the vine that connects us to God etc.

I’ll drop a post the night before on the study plan for the following day where you can all comment what you’ve learned, what was revealed, any cross references so basically a lil discussion and then I’ll update at the end of night with the lesson. And continue same way. If you want you can drop your notes via pics in the comments so everyone can discuss at their own pace.
