The BEST Street Photography Lens for Beginners 🏙️

This is my first lens I purchased intended to do Street Photography and is hailed King by many Street Photographers.

Through my experience, this is why this focal length (35mm) is my favorite lens for Street Photography! ⭐️

Why I believe this was such a great lens to start with was because of how wide and non-intrusive it felt shooting with. And this is a big fear when first starting, is getting too much into people’s business.

Instead you can be further out and still have fun playing with lines and structures. 🌉

The wider field of view allows you to capture more of the whole scene, details and people within the environment. Great for photos to showcase community and details within the building/landscape. 🧍🏼‍♀️

Cons is that with a wider lens, there will be some distortion. Especially on the side of your photos and does not perform very well for portraiture (single subject). As it will stretch faces/objects a bit and isn’t too flattering for that type of photography. 🔴

The fun thing about this lens too is that you really don’t “need” a subject to start! As you can begin to play with structures and landscapes!

‼️ ALSO, before PURCHASING please check what type of Camera you have, as it will determine what focal length to get for the true 35mm look.

If Crop Sensor: 22mm/23mm/24mm. If Full Frame: 35mm. ✅
