They’re trying to make watch jewelry happen?

About 2 years ago I saw an influencer on IG with like 5 of these bootleg ass Cartier watch rings on and thought it looked SO cool so *I* bought one 😬 but then I ended up not wearing it because it looks SO bulky. It’s been so long that it doesn’t run anymore (lol).

And while I do love the look of the watch that it’s HEAVILY “inspired” by (the Cartier Santos/Panthere), I’m not sure this is for me!

But it looks like Fossil is now trying to make watch rings a thing (at $130-150 a pop tho?? 🥲) and I actually kind of like how they look! They’re less bulky and pretty cute!

And overall I like the idea of watches as actual jewelry (rings, bracelets, and necklaces) because it makes watch wearing more accessible to non watch wearers, and who doesn’t like a beautiful and functional piece of jewelry! And did anyone else have a lil bit of a steam punk era at some point or was that just me lol

It also looks like Van Cleef recently released a pendant watch (that’s super expensive!!) so maybe we’ll see this trickle down into regular people fashion soon!! Haha
