1. Thank you Texas for the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets I have ever experienced. Seriously almost made me tear up a few times. When everything is so damn flat you can see so much of the sky.

2. Bones we found on one ranch, then took back to my mom’s ranch. The way of life there was fascinating for a city girl. 😂

3. The back seating area at the restaurant between my mom’s house and mine. The first few times I passed by it I thought it was an abandoned building until my mom invited me to lunch there.

4. Always the freshest eggs and I know exactly who and where they’re coming from. This one lady called her little trailer she sold eggs from “Butt Nugget Boutique”

5. I learned that back in the day before the garbage disposal systems we have now, people threw their trash in holes/piles on their property. The property my mom lived on had 2! You’ll find things like old glass bottles from different foods, cleaning supplies, old make up etc. and, like you’ll see in this picture … a car!! The property next to my mom’s had an entire school bus half buried in the ground. I wish I had more pictures but the last thing I was worried about in those piles was my phone. 😩

6. The dirt road leaving my mom’s old property. A view I never thought I’d see going to anywhere my mom called home. This is not how either of us were raised. 😂

7. Again, beautiful skies. 😩

8. Deer sheds found on my mom’s property and painted by me. The process of how they lose them and grow them back every year is so interesting to me! Things you learn in #texas

9. I had gone my entire 2.5 year experience in rural Texas without having any run ins with live snakes. This pic was 2 days before I left! 😩 After the stories I heard while I was there and having a friend get bit by a snake and have to be airlifted to a hospital over an hour away and almost losing his hand … yea I’ll pass every time.

10. Saying goodbye to the house we just moved from. 🫶🏽 Beautiful home. Terrible location. 😂 But overall I’m very grateful for being able to have had this experience. That’s all life is anyway, collecting different experiences. And I love collecting the ones that give me a deeper insight and understanding of the people that I share the world with.

So bye Texas! Thanks for all you did .. and didn’t do! 🤠

Honestly might need to make a part 2 because I have so many pics that I want to share!
