Dr. Anne Wiley had it all. A successful career. A beautiful home. A loving husband. Until one day it all came crashing down. Dr. Wiley had never lost a patient until today. But what choice did she have after she recognized him? 👩🏼‍⚕️

This book could’ve been 100 pages shorter. It took awhile to get going. I felt like the same thing was discussed over and over — Anne had a patient die during surgery after she recognized him. She thinks maybe she did it on purpose but isn’t sure.

There was a lot of eluding without really explaining. And eluding to the same things over and over. It felt very repetitive. 💤

Until Chapter 9 … and finally we’re starting to get somewhere. And then suddenly the book got really good and I could barely put it down!

Even though the book got off to a painfully slow start — I loved it after the pace picked up.
