WIT: French books

Continuing the women in translation series with old and modern classics! My first foray into French translated works was Muriel Barbery’s “A Single Rose” (which I didn’t include here because I’ve recommended it so much already lol) and since then I’ve been trying to expand. The last two are still on my TBR! What French books would you add?
