Emily Wilde honest review 🧚🏻

My entire personality lately has been Emily Wilde’s encyclopedia of faeries 😭😭 I never thought I’d be here but I’ve been charmed for sure! I am: Giggling ✅ kicking my feet ✅ biting my nails ✅ everything!

I will say it’s marketed as adult fantasy but there is very little spice (at least so far). There are some graphic fight scenes but honestly nothing worse than other YA books as far as I can tell? Maybe I just need to read a little bit more.

I’m also totally charmed by how cold and academic Emily is. I feel like a lot of female MCs are usually depicted as caring and empathetic and self-less and while Emily definitely does grow towards this way, she’s ultimately an academic who has career goals and is primarily motivated by them!
