I GOT MY NAILS DONE BY BLACKPINK’s NAIL ARTIST 💅🏼🖤🩷

Seoul has quickly become the skincare and cosmetic capital of the world, offering high-grade procedures for residents and tourists alike at affordable prices. Nail care is not excluded, where manicurists specialize in the most insane nail art. I knew I had to get crazy nail art while I was there, so I started searching TikTok and came across Unistella.

Let me be the first to say I had no clue what I was walking into! Their work on TikTok and Instagram was incredible, and I booked through their Instagram DMs (NOTE - most places in Seoul have Korean websites or use KakaoTalk. This was my first full day in the country and didn't have Kakao working yet, so I went to the tried and true InstaDMs lol).

I had no real preference on design. As a green girlie, my only request was a mix of emerald and mint green. I brought inspiration pictures in case of a language barrier, and beyond that, I let my nail artist have full creative control. When in Seoul, right?!

Immediately I knew the experience would be top tier. The moment I sat down, I started paying attention to the TVs playing clips around the salon. They featured popular KPop girl and boy groups from the past decade, as well as Vogue Korea, GQ spreads, and just about every major luxury brand's campaigns. Jisoo from BlackPink is a regular - in fact, she's so frequently featured, I wouldn't be surprised if she's a financial backer of the salon. Branding aside, I cannot begin to describe how awesome this manicure was. The attention to detail for both my nail health and design was unparalleled. I have never received that level of care in the US or abroad. The service took around 90 minutes, and I paid $120 USD. She did not let me tip, as it’s seen as offensive in Korean culture.
