I can never express enough the importance of proper mobility. I took it for granted until it was too late! Now, it’s a priority after ACL recovery. We need to prioritize our little muscles way more than we do! So, these are almost so easy, they are silly, but trust me, they are my savors!

LEG EXTENSION:

This is a physical therapy movement I did post surgery. Place a platform (I chose a yoga mat) under your knee. You are going to focus on using your quad to lift your leg off the ground. It is a very small movement, yes, but those little muscles are KEY to joint support. Do about 10 lifts.

QUAD FLEX:

If you thought the last one was simple, this one is even easier. All you’re going to do is flex your quad, hold for 5 seconds, release. You are going to do this about 10 times.

SINGLE LEG BALANCE:

You read that right! Single leg balance!! I didn’t realize how HORRIBLE I was at balancing until ACL reconstruction. Trust me when I say we take this ability for granted. Focus on flexing your muscles to stay as still as possible. Hold for about 1 minutes.

I usually do 3 sets on each side leg.
