1. Do NOTHING - why? Because if my body is crying for me to rest… that’s EXACTLY what I’m going to do.

2. Take as many naps as my body needs - this is a hard time for our bodies, and to make it easier on myself I nap. I’m naturally EXHAUSTED during this time of my cycle so if I need a few naps to be productive, I’m going to nap.

3. Do minimal to no workouts - based on what I was taught, your more prone to injury during this time. The workouts I consider doing is at most light yoga or walking. THAT IS IT.

4. Take off work - yup. That’s right. It has saved me from burning out CONSTANTLY. Especially at this point in my life where I’m not even at my dream job. Selfishly, I need a day.

5. Drink electrolytes & water - YES YES YES IM CONSTANTLY STRUGGLING TO STAY HYDRATED! Found out it’s because I wasn’t incorporating proper electrolytes 😫😅

6. Try not to give into cravings - this is HARD. And sometimes, i cave. But i try not to because the truth is, the sweet your body is craving is an indication that you’re missing something valuable. Example, craving chocolate? You need magnesium!! Craving salt? Electrolytes!!

7. Refuse to go out and socialize- this is a BIG one! It kind of is also why I call off work. My social battery is SO low. Which is why when I go out places, or work, I used to burn out so fast and so easily. No job, or party is worth that level of stress. It starts to ruin safe spaces and it’s not worth it. One day off will not ruin your life, yet maybe the opposite effect will happen!

Do any of you relate to these? I’d love to know what you do differently or similarly!
