Things to do in Savannah for first timers

When traveling to Savannah for the first time, you don’t want to miss these iconic landmarks and locations!

Forsyth Park

The largest and oldest park in the city that’s absolutely stunning surrounded by mansions, moss draped oak trees, and a gorgeous fountain in the center!

Bonaventure Cemetery

One of the most hauntingly beautiful sites in Savannah, you’ll need to get a ride share here or drive as its about 10 minutes away by car.

Wander the cemetery or join a tour, we really like the Bonaventure Cemetery Tour with Shannon Scott ($30 per person)

Visit Historic Squares

There are 22 historic squares, all within walking distance and beautiful in their own way with historic landmarks!

A few not to miss include:

Chippewa Square (from Forrest Gump!)

Monterey Square (be sure to look at the Mercer Williams House here)

Lafayette Square (lovely fountain in the center)
