Baby pots ready for a bake 🍓🍑🫐

Ceramics go through many transitional phases before they reach their final form. One of the most crucial is the greenware phase. Water slowly evaporates (and shrinks) the clay leaving behind what we call a “bone dry” piece, at this point pieces are very fragile and you really don’t want to manipulate your pieces too much at this stage, so I do my underglaze paint work when the pieces still have quite a bit of moisture.
