FREE Suntory BEER TOUR in Kyoto! 🇯🇵🍻

Looking for something new to do in Japan? Look no further than the free beer/whiskey/wine/water factory tour by Suntory!! They have a total of 3 beer factory, 2 whiskey distillery, 1 winery and 4 water factory tours available (which I have no idea why they offer them when they don’t exactly make money from this??!)

Here’s my experience at Suntory Kyoto Brewery if you are interested to go!! You get to drink for free at the end!!! 🍻🍺🍻

▪️Access:

🚌 Free shuttle bus is available to-and-fro from Hankyu Nishiyama Tennozan Station and JR Nagaokakyo Station to the beer factory.

🚶If you prefer to walk from Nishiyama Tennozan Station, there are also clear instructions on the website on how to!

▪️Tour process:

When you first check in, the staff will guide you to download the Factory Tour Audio Guide. As the tour is conducted in Japanese, this app helps to guide non-Japanese speakers along the way.

The tour is about 1 hour, introducing you to the raw materials for beer, each step of the beer making process and free beer tasting in the brewery.🎵 For non drinkers, apple juice, green tea, water and All Free (non-alcoholic beer) is available.

You will be given time to check out their souvenir shop if you want to pick up any souvenir or snacks. They have pretty delicious accompanying appetizers that you can buy back to enjoy with your beer! I got the pasta one which is super crunchy and delicious 🤤
