Planning a visit to Bryce Canyon National Park in Utah? There’s so much to do in this National Park that you could spend days here but if you only have a day, here’s the perfect itinerary —
🌅 WATCH THE SUNRISE AT SUNSET POINT
- Sunset Point offers some of the most incredible views of Bryce Canyon’s hoodoos. This viewpoint offers a .5 mile wheelchair accessible trail to the north. The views are gorgeous for sunset or sunrise but I highly recommend sunrise because you’ll share the view with less people and can get your hike started earlier in the day.
🥾 HIKE THE NAVAJO LOOP
- This is a popular trail that offers a 1.4 mile loop from the rim of Sunset Point to the floor of Bryce Canyon. The trail visits famous formations like Wall Street, Twin Bridges and Thor’s Hammer.
- I recommend combining this hike with Queen’s Garden for an unforgettable 3 mile hike.
- If you’re going in the winter, bring micro spikes. This trail can get extremely icy but I enjoyed hiking in the winter because the hoodoo’s were gorgeous with the snow and there were only a few people on the trail.
🌲 HIKE THE MOSSY CAVE TRAIL
- Just outside of Bryce Canyon National Park (so you can hike it without paying a parking fee) is the short and easy Mossy Cave Trail which takes you to a cave and waterfall. This trail is only .8 miles roundtrip and follows a stream for most of the way. It’s also fairly flat, making this a great trail for someone who is looking for an easy hike.
If Bryce Canyon National Park is on your list, make sure you SAVE this post for your visit! 🏜️
