My experience listening to 哪里都是你 live 💗

Young Captain is known for many of his songs that are big hits on douyin, but recently, the song that went viral is 哪里都是你. It’s the type of Chinese emo songs that’ll get you screaming, crying and shouting your lungs out at a karaoke and this song gets me al dramatic when I am listening to it while commuting, controlling myself to not sing out loud is rly tough 😫😫😫

My sis and I decided to go to his concert #AfterHours , getting the cheapest Cat at $98 just to listen to it live HAHAHA. But of course, I gave myself an intensive training and learning before the concert by replaying his playlist every time I plugged in my AirPods.

The venue was at The Star Theatres and the audiences took up two levels, not completely filling up the seats though. Considering his popularity in Singapore, I would say the turn up rate was pretty good.

Light sticks were provided for everyone with controlled light settings by the venue staff but um the light sticks were pretty shabby as it couldn’t work at some parts for us LOL.

🎤 Young Captain actually sounds exactly like he does in his songs, but I am not sure if it’s because he was not feeling well, he made quite a few mistakes on stage e.g. singing slower than the band, missing out on lines and going out of tune a couple of times. He’s also quite an awkward person as his 台词 got us like… 🥶🥶🥶

He had 2 special guests known as Hooleeger and Casper and they took up around 20 mins in total of the entire show by performing 2 songs each. Kinda entertaining with almost cringey lyrics like low key low key keep it low key… lmao… shall not dive into this further.

Young Captain sang all my favourite songs by him and I generally enjoyed myself! The audience was very supportive as well. Though his encore was kind of a bluff bc it was a song he hadn’t performed yet, I expected 哪里都是你 to be the encore song but no.. it didn’t happen 😢 still, a good experience overall!
