Nesuto did not disappoint 🤧🍰

Shit, this was easily one of the best cakes I’ve had in 2022. I know Nesuto isn’t new, but it’s so so so good. I tried queuing up once but the queue did not move, I gave up cause I didn’t want to wait for 1.5h.

This time, I visited on a weekday at about 2pm and it was pretty quiet. No queues 😊

Here’s what we had:

🍰 Konichiwa Hōjicha ($11.90)

It’s expensive for sure, it’s quite sizeable though. Price aside, the hojicha cream was so good??? It’s not exactly DEEP in flavour, it’s a little mild and I like it that way because tbh hojicha can get cloying. The cream’s consistency was really UGH PERFECT. The cake itself was moist enough, great texture. You can get a perfect fork cut-through, that’s when you know the cake is good - it doesn’t fall apart and go crazy.

It’s worth your money. Buy it, try it. PLEASE!!!

🍵 Kyoho Grape Oolong Tea ($5.50)

The tea had a strong scent but not much taste. The grape was pungent with a tiny bit of sweetness. Kinda tasted like grape infused plain water instead of tea. I think it could’ve been thicker, perhaps with more tea leaves but they do offer quite a few other tea blends that are interesting.

After this visit, I totally get why this cake cafe always has a snaking queue.
