Highly raved restaurant, crazy expensive food 😮‍💨

Jumping straight into the review, Blu Kouzina at Dempsey had a great ambience and is the perfect setting for a catch-up with friends or a date night.

With its location, you can already guess that the food ain’t cheap. Be prepared to spend around $50 and up per pax! It’s more for special occasions, or a treat once in awhile for sure 😅

We could barely understand what was on the menu, everything was unfamiliar to us LOL so we had to ask for help. I’ll try my best to describe this in layman terms.

1) MELITZANOSALATA ($16.80)

It’s a smoked egg plant dip made with feta herbs. This wasn’t really my thing, firstly, it’s because I’m a person who doesn’t enjoy egg plants due to its texture and I don’t really like mushy food. However, dipping this with the pita was ok for me!

2) GRILLED & CRISPY PITA ($3.90)

We had both versions, the grilled one is definitely better. The crispy pita tasted like a stale biscuit or overly toasted bread so I’d suggest to skip that.

3) XTAPODI ($39.80)

This grilled octopus was freaking good. It was damn smokey, tender and juicy. I LOVED THIS. It was served with vinegar and EVOO (extra virgin olive oil), so simple yet really damn mind blowingly good 😘

4) MEAT PLATTER SMALL ($58.80)

2 lamb meatballs, 1 beef kalamaki, 1 organic chicken skewer & 2 lamb chops

The lamb chop was AMAZING!!!!! So juicy and well cooked omg and it wasn’t gamely too. Everything on this platter was relatively good, meat was fresh, very well seasoned and grilled!! There was a sour cream dip of sort, I couldn’t stop spamming everything with it HAHAHA.

5) GREEK KUNAFE ($15.80)

A sweet dessert that tasted like baked beehoon with stringy cheese filling, drizzled with sweet honey syrup. It was nice! I enjoyed it, it can get a little oily but it’s really worth trying though it’s a calorie bomb 😋

This meal was really not cheap, it totalled to about $200, we weren’t really full either. It’s good for trying out Greek cuisine but do be prepared to spend so that you can try what’s good!
