Birthday Cake Inspo VS Reality

I recently celebrated my 32ns birthday and I got a lot of questions about my cake. I had it made at Whole Foods. It was a custom cake which start at $25 and go up from there. My exact cake cost $26 (see the photo…I promise I’m not making that up!) I was shocked

Sharing the inspo I sent into the bakery-both sourced from Pinterest. I wasn’t totally sure what to expect but I had seen a VERY similar cake at Whole Foods in the caselike earlier this year so I used that as a starting off point, and we used the two reference images for color and vibes.

You can choose from preset sizes, and flavors (vanilla sour chocolate)

I wanted to have cake fireworks but they didn’t arrive in time so I got sparklers from my local Party City and added them myself.

Most restaurants will allow you to bring an outside cake in for an added cost. We had my celebration at Atrium, and to do so we just brought it with us and paid a $20 outside dessert fee (similar to an uncorking fee) and they took care of the rest.

I’m going to share a little more about all the planning I did (it wasn’t a lot) for my own birthday…because you know we live to celebrate every day over here.
