💔 the recipe hack that broke me

💔 This recipe hack BROKE me today. Angel Food Cake Mix & Lemon Pie Filling is going viral right now… and I thought the concept was awesome… When it came out of the oven, it looked good… but tasted terrible. Gross. I threw it in the trash.

And then it made me start second guessing recipes and hacks that are all over the internet right now. I saw another person’s recipe this morning for a pineapple cherry dump cake that looked soggy at the end. I went to the comments and people were complaining about how it failed them too. 😢.

Making recipes is hard work. There is a lot of planning involved. You have to shop, prep and assemble your recipes… and then do the DISHES! Don’t get me started on dishes j/k! 🫣

Your time and efforts are worthy. When you’re looking for recipes, always check ratings, comments and sources. Find creators you love that you can trust. Always listen to your gut.
