1. Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, 2019

⭐️Rate: 8/10

🎬Review: While this movie may have had a few of your typical horror movies moments, it is still an interesting concept. The actors all for the most part play their roles well, and the special effects and cgi are all there. I could see this film gain a cult following and maybe end up having a trilogy or even more movies. The fact that this movie doesn't have a lot of star power is another reason why I enjoyed it. I like seeing young, up and coming actors shine new light into a genre that is seldom successful at actually making a good and enjoyable film. This one gets two thumbs up from me!

2. Practical Magic, 1998

⭐️Rate: 9/10

🎬Review: I watched this movie for the first time years ago, when I was quite younger. I watched it again recently, and I'd like to say that I really liked the way the theme (witchcraft) was presented and used. Mixing modern and traditional elements, natural and supernatural, the film is suspenseful but romantic, including witches and common people, concerning past and present. This variety of characteristics is, I believe, the greatest "plus" of the movie, along with satisfying performances by S. Bullock, N. Kidman, S. Channing, D. Wiest. "Practical Magic" is a must for paranormal-lovers, or for people looking for a drop of everything: fantasy, love, fun, suspense... in this interesting mixture by G. Dunne.

3. Ginger Snaps, 2000

⭐️Rate: 10/10

🎬Review: I'm so happy that I watched this brilliant gem of a horror movie two days ago.In those politically correct times where idiotic MTV-oriented teen slashers and comedies are made in the US,it is really good to see such original film like "Ginger Snaps". Why?Because it has some excellent suspense sequences and a rather high amount of blood and gore. The werewolf is really cool looking, the acting by two lead girls(Emily Perkins, Katharine Isabelle)is excellent and the direction is well-handled."Ginger Snaps" is a pure horror film, that is to be taken seriously.I think it ranks up there with Daniel Attias "Silver Bullet" and Joe Dante's "The Howling". 10 out of 10-a perfect film for the jilted generation!

4. Scream VI, 2023

⭐️Rate: 7/10

🎬Review: I honestly have to say that I loved this film! The main thing that I loved is the whole storyline, it was pretty rich. Every scene adds perfectly one to the other. All the characters are super charismatic. Ghostface is the scariest one until date. I loved how the tension is built on every single attack ! The kills are super creative and this is one of those films in the franchise that surprise you every second. I feel like everything that was wrong with scream 5, was covered with scream 6. The opening kill was extremely creative !! Overall I hope this movie gets a lot of love cause it deserves. A perfect slasher.

5. Terrifier 2, 2022

⭐️Rate: 8/10

🎬Review: Like the original, 'Terrifier 2' is a tasty treat for fans of extreme gore and 80's horror throwbacks.

It unapologetically marches to its drum, treading the line between tongue-in-cheek and exploitation. And in addition to the icky practical effects (which are taken to the next level), it has what's been missing in most genre offerings lately: a wicked sense of humor. Some have proclaimed Art the Clown to be this generation's "Freddy".

"Terrifier 2" also benefits from a fun supporting cast and a strong lead. The teen protagonists, while disposable of course, are less cloying than in many modern horror films, and I was legitimately bummed when a couple of them met their very very grisly demise.
