My Little Brother Passed On

On August 3, 2024 my little brother (he was 28) took his last breath. He had fought Glioblastoma, a deadly form of brain cancer for 19 months. He was always a strong, healthy brute of a guy and I watched this evil disease wither him away to nothing but a shell of who he was before. It took everything he loved from him and the finally took him away from us. I miss him so much. I walk around like a zombie feeling like this can’t be real. I’m never going to see him or talk to him this side of earth again. Sibling loss is the hardest thing I’ve ever experienced. The grief is so weird and so painful. I’m not quite sure why I’m sharing this here. I guess so others who are experiencing loss don’t feel alone. But also to let you know to cherish the time you have with the people you love.
