I have been using Kindle paperwhite (11th Gen) for 1 month after contemplating for years if I should get one over my physical book or tablet and iPhone I always use to read online book. To be frank, it's not cheap! 💸 but I can tell you, this Kindle is “worth every dime” and i have no regrets getting one on my own.

Here are 5 reasons why:

1. It's light and space-saving: some physical book can be pretty bulky to carry around on everyday basis. I used to feel that eBook can't replace physical one since it's something I can't really touch, feel, or even smell (if that makes any sense 😂). But after using it, I find myself more willing to read and less hesitate to carry this reading material with me, rather than physical book that I find myself reluctant to bring along as they are heavy. Moreover, this Kindle takes a very slim space on my bag! 🥴

2. Less eye strain: 👀 Kindle blue light is not as damaging as average cell phone or tablet. It actually emits a little less blue light compared to other models. I also use it before I sleep without turning on the side-bed light. This is so convenient to me as I like to read novel before I go to bed. You also can adjust brightness and warmth tone and it will simply gradually change, dark mode is also available all along with font size.

3. Learning new words: As non-English native speaker, I always struggle with some difficult word that I don't familiar with and sometimes it is such a hassle to switch to dictionary just to find the meaning of those word. Kindle gives me the function which I can just press on certain word and look for the meaning of it. Kindle also saves all those words for my reference in the future if I want to revise vocabulary. 📓

4. Progression of reading: Kindle shows how many more minutes until you complete the chapter. This motivates me to read even more as sometimes I have no clue how long more until I will finish the chapter especially when I was traveling on the bus or train.

5. Long Battery life: After one fully charged, it can last more than weeks without the need to turning it off. Unlike iPad or other electronic devices. 🔋🪫

One more point I would like to add on is, Kindle is pretty easy to resale. Once you use it and feels that it's not right for you, you can always switch it back to other reading material you prefer!

The con I find in Kindle is that I can't read other language books apart from English. For non-native English speaker, you might not be able to read other language apart from English like Android eBook devices (eg. Boox/KOBO)
