KNOW BEFORE YOU GO: Colombia🇨🇴

Earlier this year I backpacked Colombia for 6 weeks and it became one of my favorite countries! Here are three things you should know before you go!

#1 Pack for all weathers. Bogota was very very cold where Cartagena you spent your whole day sweating LOL. Be prepared for all climates.

#2 English is not widely spoken or understood. Even in touristy areas, many Colombians didn’t speak English. If you do understand Spanish, make sure to ask them to speak slowly, as Colombians speak very VERY fast! Highly recommend learning a few phrases before your trip.

#3 Cash is king!💵 In rural areas especially, you are going to need to have cash on you at all times! In many cases, they put on a surcharge when you pay with card as well!
