here is some advice for girls getting an iud

- it does hurt BUT the only part that hurts is the measuring of your uterus and the actual insertion of the iud

-take advil before the appointment

-my gyno gave me an ice pack to put on my chest to stop me from fainting or feeling faint

-you will get a pad after for the bleeding, but bring your own since the pads are super small

-the cramping is bad so make sure you keep up with taking advil

-HYDRATE HYDRATE HYDRATE i cannot stress this enough

-bring a fidget toy or something to squeeze

-the bleeding is a decent amount at first, but it will slow down/stop as the day goes on

-spotting will happen in the days following but it isn’t super bad
