There is no better way to start the day than having a coffee and girls date on the Upper East Side (UES) in NYC! While NYC has tons of different neighborhoods to explore with delicious coffee and beautiful architecture, the UES remains one of my favorite districts in the city as as the architecture feels very reminiscent of Paris and I love how fashion forward the people, shops, and lifestyle is there.

Although Ralph’s Coffee is a very popular spot amongst tourists when visiting the city, it is equally as popular amongst locals because their coffee and pastries are scrumptious and worth every penny. The croissants are so buttery and flaky I always wish I had gotten a second to take home with me! I particularly love sitting outdoors at Ralph’s people watching and taking in the city, all while pretending I’m at a Parisian cafe. Such a lovely place to meet up with friends, too, as I did this morning.

Considering how beautiful all the architecture is on the UES, my friends and I decided to take some outfit photos before continuing on our day and walking around the neighborhood. The exteriors of the buildings are intricate and feel historic, however, I love that they don’t distract from the outfit featured in the photo. I also already have two posts live on my page featuring my favorite UES outfit photo locations!

My friends and I then decided to slowly walk around the neighborhood and do some window shopping. The UES has both high street and luxury stores and they’re all very conveniently located next to one another if you want to go in and out of them exploring different pieces. The Anine Bing store is one of my favorites as I absolutely adore the selection of clothes they have – lots of neutral pieces that are both unique and form the perfect wardrobe staple. The Real Real is another one of my favorite stores because they sell lots of vintage and discounted designer items. If you’re looking to invest in a new piece, I would highly recommend stopping in the Real Real to check out their collection.

Have you ever been to the UES before? If so, comment any UES recommendations you have. I also have a guide on how to spend a weekend on the UES live on my page if you want recommendations for the full day.
